David Martinez will battle unbeaten Yonnhy Perez Friday in a ten round bout, but it won't be for a title. The bout was proposed as an NABF Bantamweight crown, but there wasn't enough time to sanction a title defense by current champion Perez."We thought it was going to be for a title up until weigh-ins but they told us there wasn't enough time to get officials and all the other things that go with sanctioning: Said Martinez. When asked what his game plan is for Perez Martinez said he isn't planning anything special. "No more game planning, last I tried that it didn't work, so I'm going to go round by round and do what works for me"Martinez weighed in at 116.5 while Perez hit 118. The fight will be seen live on Showtime Friday.
